We started this for our own family.

A short note on why RoseStorie exists.

RoseStorie began as a single-family dashboard in a kitchen — a quiet display that showed the calendar, the weather, what's for dinner, and where everyone was. No notifications, no ads, no feed to scroll. Just the stuff a family actually needs, glanceable in a few seconds.

After a couple of years of iterating on it at home, friends kept asking if they could have one too. So we turned it into a product that any family can sign up for — while keeping the same values that made the original worth building:

Our principles

Calm over engagement

We don't want to be another app that competes for your attention. The dashboard is background infrastructure — it earns its place on your fridge or hallway by being useful, not loud.

Your data belongs to you

We use open-source tools under the hood (Mealie, Donetick, OwnTracks) specifically so you can walk away with your data any time. Export is a first-class feature, not a retention hack.

Bring your own, or let us host it

If you're the kind of person who runs a Synology or a Pi, connect your own services and pay nothing. If you're not, we'll host the same software for you. Same feature set either way.

Honest pricing

Small monthly charges for the specific services you use. No "enterprise" tier whose price is hidden behind a sales call. No ads, ever.

Where we are

RoseStorie is a small team based in the Pacific Northwest. The service is in active development — if something's missing, tell us. We read every message.
