Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of RoseStorie. By creating an account you agree to them. If you're signing up on behalf of a family, you're agreeing on everyone's behalf.

1. The service

RoseStorie is a family dashboard that integrates with third-party services (calendar, sensors, location, recipes, chores, AI assistants). Features available depend on your plan — see Pricing.

2. Your account

• You must be 18+ to own an account. You can add minors as family members.
• You're responsible for activity under your account. Keep your Google sign-in secure.
• One family per account. Don't share logins across unrelated households.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or present a security risk.

3. Acceptable use

Don't:

• Use the service to harass, surveil, or harm anyone (including family members who haven't consented to location sharing)
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
• Use the AI assistant to generate illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Resell the service without written permission
• Upload malware or interfere with other tenants

4. Third-party integrations

When you connect Google Calendar, Mealie, Donetick, OwnTracks, Telegram, or similar services, you authorize us to access them on your behalf. Those services have their own terms — we're not responsible for their availability or changes. If an integration breaks due to a third party, we'll do our best to restore it.

5. Paid plans

• Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
• Plans renew automatically at the listed price. We'll notify you of price changes at least 30 days in advance.
• Cancel anytime from the dashboard — your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are at our discretion but we try to be reasonable. Email [email protected].
• Taxes may apply based on your location and are added at checkout.

6. AI assistant

The AI assistant can make mistakes. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. You are responsible for the prompts you send and the actions you take based on its responses. Usage is subject to fair-use limits per plan.

7. Your content

You own the data you put into RoseStorie. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it as needed to run the service — nothing more. We don't use your content to train AI models or for marketing.

8. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee it. The service is provided "as is". Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance when possible. Paid plans include a best-effort 99.5% uptime target, measured monthly.

9. Warranty disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from dashboard settings. We can terminate or suspend accounts for material breach with notice where reasonable. On termination, we follow the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days beforehand. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
